Inside the St. Anne's church in Kraków.
This carefully renovated church, built in 1689-1703 as a university church, is undeniably one of the most beautiful pearls of Polish Baroque. It was designed by a Dutch architect Tylman of Gameren and inspired by the architecture of 15-16th century Rome.
In the gorgeous interior you can find colourful polychromies by Karol Dankwart and stucco decorations by an Italian sculptor, Baltazar Fontana. In the main altar there is a painting of the Virgin and Child with St. Anne by Jerzy Siemiginowski, a court artist of Polish king Jan III Sobieski.
