The Gothic church was funded here by king Casimir the Great in 1364. Suffering from many fires, it was rebuilt a few times since. Most of its current interior (polychromies, the main altar etc.) comes from the break of 19th and 20th century. Medieval frescoes on the walls, dating back to years 1370-1380, were unexpectedly discovered during the church renovation in 1959. They depict scenes from the life of Jesus Christ (Three Magi, entering Jerusalem, the Last Supper, the Crucifixion), seven deadly sins, St. Christopher etc. To the left from the altar there is a beautiful Renaissance tomb of Elżbieta Firlej, and to the right there is a Gothic crucifix. On the walls you can see many epitaphs of Byszewski and Badeni families, long-time owners of Bejsce.
