In the Hunting Room in the Niedzica castle.

From the information hung on the wall:

The Hunting Room in a Gothic chamber of the Upper Castle demonstrates that in the eyes of the gentry hunting was not only a form of entertainment but also a kind of social duty. No wonder that in many castles and palaces hunting trophies were collected and proudly displayed.

The stuffed birds and mammals were hunted in the nearest vicinity of the Niedzica Castle, but now can be only rarely seen in the Pieniny National Park.

Some skins and animals come from the Castle collection, and some of them - handed over by Mr Andrzej Guzik - are on permanent deposit. The exhibits in the Hunting Room include a lynx, a pheasant, skin and antlers of a red deer, an eagle owl, a grey heron, two garganeys, a black grouse, a hawk and a falcon. In the Hunting Room we can also find gifts from the Hunting and Horsemanship Museum in Warsaw (red deer, elk and fallow deer antlers) and from other donors.
